Bio

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, M’Lynn is a young and exciting new artist! A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Dallas and now studying at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, M’Lynn has been writing and performing her own music since she was twelve. She has quickly grown into an accomplished pianist, singer and songwriter.

"There’s something about M’Lynn that makes The Ghost think she’s an artist to watch in 2018. Her EP release for Grounding is this Saturday at Poor David’s Pub, and she’s allowed  The Ghost to debut “Just Take Time” for your streaming pleasure.  It’s a jazzy, sultry number that is smooth as silk.  The Ghosts suspects this is not the last time she’ll be mentioned on the blog."    -Ghost of the Blind Lemon (Dallas Music Blog)

It’s hard to pinpoint M’Lynn’s style, which is a mixture of blues, jazz, pop and soul.  It’s refreshing, contemplative and intense!

Her songwriting is personal and mature beyond her years. Her covers make an old song new again.  Her influences include Nora Jones, Carole King, John Mayer and Ben Howard.

You can find M’Lynn at many venues in and around Dallas including Poor David’s Pub, Beau Nash, Sofar Sounds, The Drugstore Cowboy, Sons of Hermann Hall, Rex’s Seafood, Klyde Warren Park, The Rustic, Red Hot & Blue, Ascension Coffee, Opening Bell Coffee, Jingle Bells on Bishop, The Emporium Pie Shop in the Bishop Arts District, and many Saturday’s in “The Shed” at the Dallas Farmers Market.  This spring she was thrilled to return to perform in Richardson, Texas at the City Line outdoor concert series.  She will do a mini tour in surrounding states and Los Angeles before she returns to Miami this fall.
